Make your first ad

Turn one product photo into a finished ad with the eComrads creative engine, connected to Claude as an MCP.

Most ecommerce ad creative starts the same way: a decent product photo and a blank page. Getting from that photo to something you'd actually run, a UGC-style video, a static ad, a clean product film, usually means a shoot, an editor, or a subscription tool you have to learn first. eComrads collapses that into a conversation with Claude.

eComrads is an AI creative engine built for exactly this: one product photo in, finished ad formats out. It connects to Claude as an MCP connector, the same way Shopify or Meta Ads would, so once it's linked you're not switching apps to make a creative. You just ask for one. And it's more than a pipe to the generation models: underneath them sits AdDNA, a layer trained on millions of converting ads and the performance data behind them, so the engine's calls on hook, format, and pacing come from what has actually converted, not from what looks good in a portfolio.

This matters most for the operators who don't have a creative team on staff, which is most ecommerce stores under a few million in revenue. You don't need a shoot, a script, or an editor to test whether a new angle works. You need one photo you already have and a few minutes to describe the customer. The engine does the part that used to require a production budget.

What you need before you start

  • One clean photo of the product. A real photo, not a mockup. A plain background helps but isn't required.
  • A sense of who actually buys this and why, in one sentence. That's the difference between a generic ad and one that sounds like it knows the customer.
  • An idea of which format you actually need. A scroll-stopping video for cold audiences is a different job than a static for a product page, and naming it upfront gets you a better first result.
  • Ten minutes, the first time. Once it's connected, every ad after this one takes less.

Connect eComrads

  • In Claude, open Settings then Connectors and add a custom connector using this URL: https://mcp.ecomrads.com/mcp
  • Authenticate. You'll be asked to log in, or create an eComrads account if you don't have one yet.
  • Once it's connected, it shows up active in your connector list, the same as any other MCP tool.
  • No separate app to keep open. From here, you generate creatives from inside your Claude conversation.
Attach your product photo in the chat and ask directly.

'Here's my product photo. Make me a UGC-style video ad and a static ad for it.'

Claude routes the photo through the eComrads MCP and comes back with finished creative, not a mockup or a storyboard.

What comes back

  • UGC-style video. A short, creator-style clip built around the product, made to feel native to a For You page instead of like an ad.
  • Static ads. Clean, finished image ads sized for feed and story placements, ready to upload to Ads Manager.
  • Product film. A more polished, cinematic treatment of the product itself, better suited to a landing page or a higher-intent placement than a scroll-stopper.
Look at what comes back the way you'd look at a first draft from a new hire: good instincts, needs your eye before it goes live. Check that the product looks right, the claims are true, and the tone matches how you actually talk to customers before you publish anything.

Get more specific, get a better ad

  • Say the platform you're actually running this on. A hook built for a cold TikTok feed is a different job than a static built for a warm retargeting audience, and naming it changes what Claude makes.
  • Flag anything you can't claim, sizing, results, health claims, before generation, so it doesn't end up baked into the ad and you have to catch it after the fact.
  • If you already have a winning ad for a different product, describe its structure or paste the script so Claude can adapt a proven shape instead of starting from nothing.

Get a better result on the next one

  • Tell Claude what you liked and didn't like about the first result in plain language. It carries that into the next generation in the same conversation.
  • If one angle or hook style is working, say so explicitly, so future ads start from that instead of a random new idea each time.
  • Once you know what on-brand looks like for your product, package it as a skill so every future ad starts from that taste automatically instead of you re-explaining it.
Where eComrads fitsYour first ad is on us, no card required, at https://ecomrads.com. Connect the MCP, hand over one product photo, and see the finished creative before you commit to anything. That's the whole point of building it this way: you should be able to judge the output before you ever pay for it.

The gap between having a product photo and having a running ad used to be days and a few hundred dollars. Connected through Claude, it's one conversation. Start with the first one — it's on us — see if the output earns a place in your actual rotation, and go from there.
